On the web (marvinmoney.com): start your trial without entering a card. After 30 days, Marvin quietly reverts to Free unless you upgrade. We never auto-charge you on the web.

On the App Store / Play Store: Apple and Google require a payment method on file before a trial can start — that's their rule, not ours. They'll auto-renew at the end of the trial unless you cancel from your device's subscription settings. You won't be charged during the 30 days.

Yes, on every platform. Upgrades start immediately and we pro-rate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle so you keep what you paid for.

Switching plans during the free trial works on the web, the App Store, and the Play Store. Apple and Google both let you change plans within the same subscription group mid-trial without losing the trial — the new plan applies right away.

Starter gets Marvin's read-only intelligence — the insight banners, forecast cards, projected end-of-month numbers. Pro adds the conversation: open the chat takeover and ask Marvin anything. The chat is what justifies the price jump.

If you subscribe via the web, your local currency — based on the country you set in Settings. We use purchasing power parity (not just exchange rates), so the price feels fair wherever you live. If you subscribe via the App Store or Play Store, Apple and Google convert to your local currency using their own regional pricing matrices.

Apple and Google handle regional pricing for in-app subscriptions through their own tiered systems — we pick a global tier, and they decide what each country pays. It's reasonably close to local norms but not as fine-tuned as our web checkout, which uses purchasing power parity per country.
