Mars Enterprises

A Mars Enterprises product

A money app
that respects you.

Marvin Money is one of several products built under Mars Enterprises — a fast-growing technology company headquartered in Canada with a presence in 191 countries, building honest software for the parts of life that deserve more care.

Marvin Money started with an idea: your money should be able to talk to you — in real numbers, not guesses. Every personal finance app on the market was a rear-view mirror — telling you what you'd already spent, never showing you where you were headed. You could look at your money all day, but you couldn't ask it anything.

We built the app we wanted. One that reads receipts so we don't have to type. One that doesn't pretend to be smarter than us. One that speaks our currency, our language, and our cost-of-living — not someone else's USD-anchored idea of "expensive." And one more thing: Marvin Money is like Google Maps, but for your money — it doesn't just show the road behind you, it tells you where you'll land and finds a better route around trouble. Big companies have always managed money this way. Now it's yours — without the corporate look and sound. Read the full story →

"We didn't want a calculator. We wanted a friend who's good with money." — Marshall Singh, founder, Mars Enterprises

The honest design.

Marvin doesn't gamify saving. There are no streaks, no leaderboards, no shame badges. We don't think you need a slot machine to take care of your money. We think you need a clear timeline, a forecast you can plan around, and a friend who'll tell you the truth when you ask "can I afford this?"

Why "Marvin"?

The name was deliberate. Marvin isn't an app — Marvin is the presence. An honest assistant standing right next to you. Sharp enough to be useful, restrained enough to be trusted. Money is just the first thing we asked Marvin to help with; the same Marvin will show up wherever Mars Enterprises builds next — health, workspace, security. Look at our logo: an open square waiting for the cornerstone that completes it. Marvin is that piece.

The engine.

In Marvin Money, Marvin sits on top of a forecasting engine built from your real numbers — bills, salary, balance, spending. So when Marvin says "you'll have $640 by pay day", that's not a guess. It's calculated from what's actually in your account.

What we won't do.

We won't require a bank login (connecting one is optional, on Pro+ in the US and Canada). We won't sell your data. We won't train shared AI models on your receipts. We won't show you ads. We won't keep ghost copies after you delete your account. We won't rank your spending against your friends. We won't sell your "wellness score" to insurance companies.

Three things we believe

What we actually
care about.

01

Honest beats helpful

We'd rather tell you "you can't afford this" than help you rationalize it. Helpful is comfortable. Honest is useful.

02

Local is the default

Your currency, your cost-of-living, your language. The app feels built for you because it is — wherever you live, whatever you earn.

03

Privacy is the design

Not a setting. Not a toggle. The whole app is built so you don't have to trust us — because we never had your sensitive credentials to begin with.
