Refund policy.

The short version: bought on the web, you have 14 days to ask. Bought on the App Store or Google Play, their rules apply. And wherever you bought, a billing error is always ours to fix.

Last updated: August 17, 2026

This page explains; it doesn't replace the contract. Your rights are set out in Section 6 of our Terms of Service, which governs if the two ever disagree. Nothing here limits any right you have under mandatory consumer-protection law in your country.

1. Where you bought decides who refunds you

We don't take payments ourselves. Marvin Money is sold in three places, and each one has its own seller who handles the money and decides refunds for it. That single fact decides who you ask, how long you have, and who makes the call — so start by finding the row you bought on.

Wherever you bought, a billing error is always ours to fix (Section 6), and your statutory rights apply on top of everything on this page (Section 9).

2. Bought on the web

Web purchases are sold by Paddle, who act as merchant of record — Paddle is the seller for that transaction, and Paddle's refund policy governs it.

You can request a refund within 14 days of a payment. Paddle reviews each request and decides the outcome.

How to reach Paddle

  • Use the View receipt or Manage subscription link in your payment confirmation email; or
  • use the support link in that receipt, or on your billing page; or
  • go to paddle.net and choose Request refund.

Not sure which payment it was, or whether you qualify? paddle.net is the place to ask — they'll look it up for you.

The full terms are Paddle's, published at paddle.com/legal/refund-policy, and they are what applies.

Bought on the web? You have 14 days to ask, and Paddle decides.

3. Bought on the App Store

If you subscribed on your iPhone or iPad, Apple took the payment and Apple alone decides refunds for it. We can't process one, and we don't get a say.

How to reach Apple

  • Sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com with the Apple Account you bought on, choose I'd like to → Request a refund, pick a reason, then pick the subscription.
  • For anything else about billing or a subscription, support.apple.com/billing.

Purchase not showing up there? Search your email for "receipt from Apple" or "invoice from Apple" and find the one matching the amount — it names the Apple Account that was used, which may not be the one you're signed in with. If the charge is still pending, Apple can't refund it yet; wait for the receipt and try again.

4. Bought on Google Play

Google took the payment and Google's refund policy applies. Within 48 hours of the payment, Google handles the request directly.

How to reach Google

  • Open your Play Store order history, find the payment and request a refund; or
  • in the Play Store app: profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Budget & order history; or
  • contact Google Play support.

After 48 hours Google may direct you to us instead. If they do, email billing@marvinmoney.com from the address on your account and we'll pick it up from there.

5. Cancelling — any platform

Cancelling and refunding are different things. Cancelling is always available, always immediate, and you never have to email us or ask permission:

  • Web: Settings → Subscription → Cancel.
  • iPhone / iPad: your Apple Account subscription settings.
  • Android: your Google Play subscription settings.

Cancelling stops the next payment straight away, and your access continues to the end of the period you've already paid for.

Cancel whenever. You don't lose the days you've paid for, and we don't take another payment.

6. Billing errors — always put right

If we've charged you when we shouldn't have, that's not a refund request, it's our mistake, and we'll correct it wherever you bought. That includes:

  • a duplicate charge — for example the same subscription billed on more than one platform;
  • a charge taken after you cancelled;
  • a charge for the wrong amount;
  • a charge where you didn't receive what you paid for — the payment went through but your account wasn't upgraded.

Email billing@marvinmoney.com from the address on your account and tell us what happened. A real person reads it.

7. AI Boosters

A Booster raises your Marvin AI allowance by a percentage for the rest of your current billing cycle, and it ends when that cycle ends. It takes effect the moment you buy it.

Boosters are sold by Paddle as merchant of record, so a refund request goes to Paddle and is decided under their buyer terms — the same route as any other web purchase, set out in Section 2. If Paddle refunds a Booster, the extra allowance comes off your account. A billing error is covered by Section 6, like any other charge.

Worth knowing before you buy: a Booster is priced the same whether your cycle has a month left or a day. If your renewal is close, waiting for the reset usually gets you more for the money — we show you the date before you buy for exactly that reason.

8. An extra commitment on subprocessors

On top of everything above: if we add a new data subprocessor and you object to it, you may terminate your subscription and we will refund any prepaid but unused fees for the affected period. That commitment, and how to exercise it, is described in our trust and subprocessor commitments.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy affects rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection law where you live, including any statutory cooling-off or withdrawal rights that apply to digital purchases. Where those rights give you more than this page does, they win. Country-specific terms are set out in Section 23 of our Terms.
